Brightening Up The House

I looked around my house last night and wondered where all the colour had gone. Then it dawned on me......no flowers.

I ran out to my yard and cut a few to fill a Girl Guide vase I had been given when I was the Division Commissioner. Turned out not to badly. The picture is a bit dark but it was a cloudy day that afternoon.

A couple of burgundy Gerbera Daisies and some Baby's Breath. Turned out pretty good, so good in fact it was out to the garden once again to pick some Asiatic Lilies, Delphinium and some more Baby's Breath. I like this one too.
The colours go very well with my green toned living room, and the deep purple of the delphinium sets off the pink of the lily very well.

So very much fun, but perhaps I should take a flower arranging course. I really don't have a natural talent for it like so many.

My next arrangement will be roses I think. My rose bushes are getting over loaded and I may as well enjoy them while I can.

I am off to visit you all now. Hope you have coffee ready.

Everybody have a wonderful day. God bless.

Jackie,

Your flower arrangements are beautiful and you did a great job with them. The baby's breath is lovely and the purple delphinium sure sets off the pink of the lily. Enjoy! My lilies have died out and I really need to dig up one of my gardens and replant everything. It won't be this year though, as I have no time with all the renovations.

Take care and have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Mary

Hey! I think we have the same couch. Microfiber, sage green. Looks like it.

Love that lilly. It is just at perfection.

Isn't it wonderful to pick flowers from your yard?! They are all so beautiful. It just brightens my day when I do so.

How beautiful! Nothing cheers up our homes like some fresh flowers, and your arrangements are lovely! Somehow I wandered to your blog and I am so glad I did!
