Thought that I would post a few pictures of 
our vacation.
our vacation.This is a picture of an old restored barn on the hotel property. They kept the outside pretty much the way it was and fixed up the inside to use as a lounge and a hall for various functions.
This tree was so interesting. I had never seen one before. It took until the end of our stay. It is called a Common Smoke Tree, but to me there is nothing common about it.
This is part of the old apple orchard that the hotel was built on. The name of the hotel was The Old Orchard Inn and Spa.
Tomorrow I will post some pictures of the sights we managed to get to. I think we could have spent a month in the province and not have seen everything that Nova Scotia has to offer. Harvey and I said we must get back to see Halifax and travel the Cabot Trail.
I am off to visit all of you (and get a bit more cleaning done). Everyone have a wonderful day. God bless.

I have seen those trees and always wondered what they were called. Now, thanks to you, I know. They are beautiful and unique.

You have been missed! I have been a way for a few days just from the computer, I have be sooo busy. All of the pictures are amazing. The lake is so pretty, and everythings decorated so nice. The tree is beautiful, I have never heard of it either.I am glad you made it home safe. I am sure the poem went well it is such a beautiful poem.

Nice you got back safe and sound. By the sound of it you had a wonderful time. Having lived in Nova Scotia for 10 years I am familiar with it's beauty. We never did get to the Cabot Trail in all that time!!!! Imagine!!!!... Young with a family of 4 and no money then just couldn't afford it....
We were situated in the Annapolis Valley and often reminiss about it. The people were so friendly.
The tree you are talking about is really beautiful. We have them here in Southern Ontario, and if I am correct they play havok with anyone that has allergies as the fluff blows all over the place at one point and builds up along the curbs like snow!!!!
